This magnificent Tabriz rug, originating from Persia, is a splendid example of traditional textile craftsmanship. Made with high-quality hand-carded wool and a cotton warp, it boasts a high knot density, ranging from 160,000 to 200,000 knots/sqm, ensuring remarkable durability and richness of detail. The pile thickness, approximately 1 cm, provides a soft yet robust feel.
The classic design is dominated by a large, elaborate central medallion with pendents, surrounded by a densely decorated field featuring an all-over design of curvilinear floral motifs, including palmettes, rosettes, and stylized saz leaves.
