This fascinating Shiraz rug, originating from Persia, embodies the rich artisanal tradition of nomadic peoples. The design is characterized by a main field of a deep burgundy red, animated by three large central diamond-shaped medallions, in an intense midnight blue. These medallions are finely outlined in white and filled with stylized geometric motifs, including tribal symbols and small zoomorphic figures representing birds and domestic animals, typical of Qashqai nomadic iconography. The all-over design is enriched by an abundance of small scattered decorative elements, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere.
