This splendid rug, identified as Nain Kashmar, originates from the renowned Persia region, the cradle of an ancient and esteemed manufacturing tradition. It represents an excellent example of Persian craftsmanship, with its richness of detail and profound symbolism.
The central motif is a magnificent medallion, finely inlaid with elegant floral designs, expanding over a dark blue field, creating a striking visual contrast. Around the medallion, the field is enriched with a complex floral design that harmoniously fills the space. The border, also decorated with floral and curvilinear motifs, gracefully frames the entire composition, echoing the elements of the field and the medallion.
Made with hand-carded wool and silk (cotton warp), the rug boasts a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm, a testament to its exceptional quality and meticulous craftsmanship. The thickness of 1.3 cm contributes to a luxurious tactile experience and remarkable durability. The dominant colors, such as dark blue and cream, along with touches of light blue and light grey, create an atmosphere of elegance and refinement, perfect for enhancing any environment with a touch of history and culture.
