This magnificent Nain Kashmar rug is an authentic expression of ancient Persian knotting art. Originating from Persia, it is renowned for its exceptional fineness and meticulous artisanal craftsmanship.
Made with hand-carded wool and silk on a cotton warp, it features a high knot density, estimated between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter, ensuring its durability and intricate detail. The presence of silk, used for outlining the designs, adds a distinctive sheen that enhances the floral motifs.
The design is distinguished by a large central medallion on a deep navy blue field, enriched with elegant floral decorations that extend harmoniously towards the corners. The main border, in a cream color, is in turn adorned with a succession of delicate botanical motifs, completing the visual balance of the piece. Shades of light blue and light grey enrich the palette, creating a sophisticated contrast.
A rectangular rug that is much more than a simple furnishing element: it is a textile work of art capable of instilling an atmosphere of luxury and tradition in any setting.
