This magnificent Gorawan rug, originating from Persia, is an authentic work of textile art that encapsulates centuries of tradition and artisanal mastery. Its craftsmanship is the result of meticulous work: it was hand-knotted using hand-carded wool, ensuring exceptional softness and resilience. The cotton warp guarantees stability and durability.
The design features an impressive central medallion, beautifully elaborated with geometric and stylized motifs that radiate towards a richly decorated field. The all-over design is adorned with a harmonious composition of stylized floral motifs and abstract elements, typical of Persian iconography. The dominant colors, a deep terracotta red, vibrant blue tones, and accents of ivory and black, create a fascinating contrast and remarkable visual depth. A slight variation in shading, known as abrash, can be appreciated, lending the rug an even more authentic and lively character.
With a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of approximately 1 cm, this rug is not just a decorative element but an investment in beauty and history. Perfect for adding warmth and personality to any room, the Gorawan is a unique piece that will tell its story for generations.
