This magnificent Kerman rug, hailing from the historic region of Persia, is a sublime example of Persian knotting art. Crafted with artisanal mastery, it stands out for its exquisite workmanship and elegant design.
The central field is characterized by a vibrant deep red, upon which an intricate floral design unfolds. At its heart, an imposing, finely detailed medallion captures the eye, surrounded by a rich motif of palmettes, rosettes, and flowering vines that densely fill the entire surface, creating an atmosphere of luxurious abundance. The main border, in a deep navy blue, elegantly frames the field, in turn featuring elaborate floral patterns in light shades of cream and softer blue.
Quality is assured by the use of hand-carded wool for the pile, which gives the rug exceptional softness and resilience, while the cotton warp ensures stability and durability. The knot density, ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm, testifies to the high level of detail and the fineness of the knotting. With a thickness of approximately 1 cm, it offers a pleasant texture and excellent wear resistance. This Kerman is not just a rug, but a piece of history and culture, capable of enriching any environment with its timeless charm.
