This magnificent Kerman rug, originating from Persia, is a sublime example of ancient Persian knotting art. Crafted from hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it stands out for its exceptional quality and dense knotting, ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter, with a thickness of approximately 1 cm.
The central design is dominated by a large, finely detailed medallion, which captures the eye with its floral complexity and intricate details. The main field is a profusion of botanical motifs, with stylized flowers, palmettes, and arabesques harmoniously distributed on a vibrant red background. The rich, elegantly structured borders echo and amplify the floral theme, presenting an alternation of decorative bands in chromatic contrast, mainly dark blue, which masterfully frame the rug.
The color palette is refined and well-balanced, with a predominance of red, enriched by touches of blue, cream, pink, and shades of green and yellow, which give depth and vibrancy to the whole. This Kerman rug is not just a furnishing accessory, but a textile work of art that carries with it Persian history and culture, perfect for adding a touch of elegance and warmth to any room.
