This stunning Kerman rug, originating from Persia, is a sublime example of Persian weaving art. Its color composition is dominated by a vibrant scarlet red that immediately catches the eye, enriched by shades of deep blue, black, beige, and delicate pastel tones that define the complex floral motifs. The careful selection of colors creates a harmonious contrast and remarkable visual depth.
At the center of the rug, a large central medallion stands out, richly adorned with stylized botanical designs. The field is densely populated with an all-over design of flowers, palmettes, and swirling vines, gracefully extending towards the elaborate border. The border itself consists of successive bands that echo and expand upon the floral themes, culminating in a continuous wave of beauty.
Crafted from high-quality hand-carded wool, with a cotton warp, this rug boasts a high knot density, between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter, testifying to its fineness and durability. Each knot is a piece of history and tradition, making this Kerman not just a furnishing item, but a work of art destined to enhance any room with its elegance and oriental charm. Its moderate thickness (1 cm) makes it versatile, while maintaining the typical robustness of valuable Persian rugs.
