This superb Kashan rug, originating from Persia, is a magnificent example of traditional knotting art. Characterized by a vibrant shade of scarlet red dominating the field, it is embellished with an elaborate central medallion and pendants, finished in a deep midnight blue. The overall design is a triumph of complex floral motifs, with delicate palmettes, rosettes, and arabesques elegantly winding through both the main field and the rich borders.
The craftsmanship is expertly executed, using hand-carded wool for the pile, which gives the rug a natural luster and remarkable softness to the touch. The warp is made of cotton, ensuring robustness and durability. With a density ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of 1.2 cm, this rug is not just a decorative element, but an investment in a piece of Persian history and culture.
The Kashan is ideal for adding a touch of classic elegance and warmth to any environment, from the living area to the bedroom, creating an atmosphere of refined opulence.
