This splendid Kazak Fine rug, originating from Pakistan, is a textile work of art that combines traditional robustness with a vibrant aesthetic. Made with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it features a dense weave ranging from 160,000 to 200,000 knots per square meter, ensuring durability and longevity. The thickness of 0.9 cm contributes to its substantial feel.
The central field is dominated by a deep cerulean blue, creating a vibrant backdrop for the stylized geometric medallions and motifs in scarlet red, burnt orange, and ivory white. This color combination is typical of the Kazak style, recalling tribal and Caucasian designs. Slight variations in tone (abrash) can be observed in the wool, a distinctive sign of natural dyeing and artisanal craftsmanship that gives the rug a unique and authentic character. The multi-layered border frames the whole with a harmonious sequence of small geometric motifs, balancing the overall design. An ideal piece to add a touch of warmth and history to any modern or classic environment.
