This splendid Kilim, originating from Afghanistan, is a magnificent example of traditional textile art. Made with hand-carded wool, it features a robust weave and an authentic touch surface, with a cotton warp ensuring its stability.
The rug showcases a captivating geometric design, dominated by a large central diamond that draws the eye. Surrounding and within this main element, smaller diamonds and triangular motifs follow one another, creating a dynamic and harmonious visual effect. Decorative bands on the upper and lower borders echo the same tribal motifs, giving the design an "all-over" integrity. The color palette is fresh and luminous: delicate shades of light green and vibrant yellow prevail, skillfully balanced by accents of soft light blue and beige, which together create a serene and welcoming atmosphere.
The hand-carded wool and Kilim technique give the rug unique lightness and versatility, making it perfect for adding a touch of color and authenticity to any setting, from classic to modern. The density of approximately 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 0.3 cm attest to the fineness and attention to detail. This Kilim is not just a rug, but a piece of history and culture, capable of transforming an environment into a space of refined beauty.
