This magnificent Kilim, originating from Afghanistan, is a splendid example of traditional textile art. Crafted with hand-carded wool and a cotton warp, it features a high-quality flat weave, characteristic of authentic Kilims. Its density, ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm, and a thickness of 0.3 cm attest to the artisanal mastery and durability of the rug.
The all-over pattern is distinguished by a series of geometric diamond shapes and interconnected motifs, symmetrically arranged. The chromatic palette is dominated by vibrant shades of turquoise and sky blue, combined with delicate nuances of creamy white and hints of greyish-lilac. The "abrash" effect (color variation due to natural dyeing) adds depth and character, making each piece unique. The side borders and sawtooth fretwork complete the tribal aesthetic.
Perfect for adding a touch of color and authenticity to any environment, this Kilim is not just a rug, but a piece of history and culture, ideal for enriching living rooms, studies, or bedrooms with its ethnic charm.
