This splendid Ardakan rug, originating from Persia, is an authentic expression of traditional textile art. Hand-knotted with mastery using hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it stands out for its exceptional density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of approximately 1 cm, ensuring durability and substance.
The classic design is dominated by an elaborate central medallion, which vividly stands out on the main field of deep, bright red. The rich floral details, including stylized palmettes, vines, and blossoms, gracefully extend across the entire rug, creating a fascinating visual harmony. The corners and wide midnight blue border, also adorned with intricate floral motifs, beautifully frame the rug, adding depth and contrast.
The skillful use of colors, which includes accents of cream and light blue, gives the rug a unique vitality. The manual weaving technique can sometimes lead to slight color variations, known as abrash, which further enrich the character and authenticity of each piece.
Ideal for enhancing living rooms or dining areas, this Ardakan rug is not just a furnishing element, but a work of art that brings the elegance and history of Persian tradition into any environment.
