This magnificent Tabriz rug is an authentic masterpiece of Persian textile art, renowned for its excellent craftsmanship and rich details. It originates from the historic city of Tabriz, one of the oldest and most prestigious carpet production centers in Persia, an area known for the skill of its artisans and the impeccable quality of its materials.
The rug features a classic and timeless design, dominated by a finely crafted, polychrome central medallion that immediately captures the eye. This medallion is framed by pendants extending into the field. The rug's cream-colored field is enriched by an extremely detailed all-over pattern, which includes stylized floral motifs, palmettes, and rosettes, distributed with harmony and precision.
The main border, in a vibrant shade of brick red or burnt sienna, is elegantly decorated with repeating floral motifs and vines, surrounded by thinner secondary borders that define and complete the composition. The chromatic palette, in addition to red and cream, includes touches of blue, sage green, and brown, with nuances that may display a delicate abrash, testifying to the natural dyeing of the yarns and the authenticity of the hand-knotting process.
Crafted from hand-carded wool, this rug offers a soft and resilient texture, capable of preserving its beauty over time. The cotton warp ensures stability and durability to the structure. With a density ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter, every detail of the design is reproduced with remarkable precision, reflecting the high quality of the knotting.
A Tabriz like this is not merely a furnishing element, but a piece of history and tradition, capable of imbuing any environment, from the most classic to the most contemporary, with warmth and elegance.
