This wonderful Kilim, originating from Afghanistan, is a textile work of art that embodies centuries of tradition and craftsmanship. Its construction is entirely made of hand-carded wool, with a cotton warp that ensures its robustness and longevity. Each fiber has been carefully selected and processed, giving the rug a unique texture and extraordinary chromatic vibrancy, highlighted by the slight abrash effect.
The Kilim features a bold and captivating design, characterized by a large central medallion that immediately catches the eye. This main element is enriched by a composition of geometric shapes and traditional symbols, framed by a series of stylized motifs arranged in an all-over pattern on the terracotta-colored background. The palette is extremely rich and vibrant, with shades of sky blue, turquoise, burnt orange, yellow, apple green, purple, and red, creating a harmonious contrast with the dominant background. The density of approximately 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 0.3 cm attest to the fineness of the weave and the quality of the artifact.
Perfect for adding a touch of color and personality to any room, this Kilim is ideal in both modern and traditional settings. Its flat-woven nature makes it lightweight and easy to maintain, a collector's item that will undoubtedly enhance your home with its ethnic charm and millennial history.
