This authentic Kazak rug, originating from Afghanistan, is a magnificent example of tribal textile art. Hand-knotted with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it boasts a high density of 100,000-150,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.1 cm, ensuring robustness and durability.
The design features a central beige-taupe field hosting three large polygonal medallions. These medallions display complex geometric patterns in shades of blue, sky blue, cream, and green. The field is further embellished with small stars and stylized motifs. The rich main border, in a vibrant red-terracotta, is adorned with stylized diamonds and "S" motifs, framed by secondary borders with chain and geometric designs in blue and cream.
The vibrant colors and traditional composition make this Kazak a distinctive piece, capable of adding a touch of warmth and history to any interior. The slight color variation, or "abrash", is a testament to the authenticity and natural dyeing process of the wool.
