This magnificent Kazak rug, originating from Afghanistan, is an authentic expression of nomadic textile art. Each piece is entirely hand-knotted, a process that ensures its uniqueness and robustness.
Crafted with hand-carded wool for the pile and a cotton warp, it boasts a density of 100,000-150,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.1 cm, giving it a rich texture and exceptional durability. The hand-carded wool contributes to a rustic look and excellent longevity.
The design is an all-over pattern characterized by bold, symmetrically arranged geometric medallions, typical elements of the Kazak tradition. The color palette is dominated by blue and red, balanced by shades of beige, cream, and accents of green and dark blue. The possible presence of abrash (natural color variations) is a testament to the artisanal dyeing process and adds depth and character to the rug.
This Kazak is more than just a rug; it is a piece of history and culture, capable of bringing warmth and an exotic touch to any room, from the living room to the bedroom.
