This authentic Kazak rug, originating from Afghanistan, is a superb example of tribal weaving art. Crafted with high-quality hand-carded wool and a cotton warp, it features a density of approximately 100,000-150,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of 1.1 cm, ensuring durability and a pleasant feel underfoot.
The design is characterized by three centrally arranged polygonal medallions, rich in star and geometric motifs in various shades. The field, in an elegant taupe color, is adorned with small stylized floral patterns and abstract figures arranged with balance. The multiple borders, also featuring strong geometric impact, frame the main field with serrated patterns, Greek keys, and rosettes.
The color palette includes vibrant tones of red, ultramarine blue, sky blue, cream, and mint green, creating a harmonious contrast with the neutral background. The presence of subtle color variations, known as "abrash", testifies to the use of natural dyes and the authenticity of the handcrafted process, giving the rug a unique and distinctive character. This Kazak is perfect for adding a touch of tradition and warmth to any room, from the living room to the dining area or study.
