This magnificent Kazak rug, originating from Pakistan, is an authentic expression of traditional knotting art. Crafted from hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, each piece embodies the history and skill of its artisans. Its knot density, ranging from 100,000 to 150,000 knots/sqm, and a thickness of 1.1 cm, give the rug unparalleled robustness and texture.
The design features a vibrant red central field, enriched with an all-over geometric pattern that recalls Caucasian tribal symbols. Large star medallions and stylized guls are distributed with balance and rhythm. The rich border, in shades of dark blue, cream, and ocher, elegantly frames the whole, presenting additional geometric motifs that create a harmonious contrast. The natural color variations, known as "abrash," attest to the use of vegetable dyes and add depth and character to the rug, making it a unique and vibrant piece. Perfect for environments seeking a touch of authenticity and warmth.
