The Mamlouk rug, originating from Pakistan, is a textile masterpiece that evokes the atmosphere of antique carpets. Crafted from hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it boasts a density of approximately 250,000-300,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 0.6 cm, testifying to its excellent artisanal craftsmanship.
The design features an elaborate central medallion, surrounded by a field rich in geometric and stylized floral motifs, arranged in a complex weave. The color palette, dominated by beige and cream tones, is enriched with shades of terracotta red, cerulean blue, sage green, and ochre. Thanks to the abrash effect, these colors impart a deliberately aged and lived-in appearance, avoiding an all-over design.
Perfect for those seeking a piece with historical charm and timeless elegance, the Mamlouk harmonizes beautifully with both classic and contemporary interiors, adding a touch of sophistication and personality.
