This splendid Samarkand rug, originating from Pakistan, is a true work of textile art. Crafted with masterful artistry, it captures the essence of nomadic and tribal traditions with a touch of contemporary elegance.
Woven with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it boasts a density of approximately 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 0.8 cm. The quality of the wool and the knotting technique ensure not only remarkable strength and durability but also a pleasing softness to the touch.
The design is distinguished by an alternation of bands. Wide horizontal striped fields, characterized by a fascinating abrash effect, intersect with bands adorned with repeated geometric motifs, creating a dynamic visual balance. The colors are a harmonious mix of earthy tones: beige, gold, rust, terracotta, enriched by accents of petrol blue and dark red, which lend depth and character. Each shade is carefully chosen to evoke a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The Samarkand rug is ideal for adding a touch of exoticism and sophistication to any room, from the living room to the bedroom, perfectly integrating with both classic and modern furnishings.
