This magnificent rug, a fine example of a Ziegler Fine, originates from the renowned workshops of Pakistan, inheriting a rich artisanal tradition. Its craftsmanship is distinguished by the use of hand-carded wool, which gives the pile a unique texture and exceptional chromatic depth, often enhanced by subtle color variations known as abrash. The cotton warp ensures stability and durability.
The design features an elegant all-over pattern, populated by a myriad of stylized floral and botanical motifs, harmoniously arranged across the entire surface. Stylized medallions, leaves, and branches intertwine in a visual harmony, creating an atmosphere of sophisticated elegance. The color palette, dominated by shades of mauve and grayish-purple, is enriched with vibrant accents of ocher, brick red, teal, and blue, which add dynamism and liveliness to the rug. With a density ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 0.9 cm, this rug is not merely a furnishing item, but a textile work of art that attests to the skill of Pakistani master knotters.
