This magnificent rug originates from the renowned region of Hosseinabad, Persia, and is a splendid example of local manufacturing tradition. Its weaving is the result of centuries of experience, passed down through generations, which gives each piece a unique and timeless character. This rug is a true visual narrative, elegantly furnishing and bringing a touch of history and culture to any room.
The design is dominated by two distinct central medallions, which immediately catch the eye. These dark-colored medallions are richly adorned with stylized geometric motifs and abstract details, typical of Persian tribal art. The main field features a refined minute diamond pattern, creating a delicate and complex visual texture that balances the strength of the medallions. The entire composition is framed by an elegant border, where intense red and dark blue alternate with zigzag geometric and stylized floral motifs, adding depth and definition to the rug. Color variations, known as abrash, attest to the use of natural dyes and artisanal skill.
Made with hand-carded wool, the pile offers a feeling of warmth and durability. The warp, composed of cotton, ensures a robust and long-lasting structure. With a density ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of approximately 1.2 cm, this rug is not just a furnishing item, but an investment in beauty and tradition.
An Hosseinabad rug is ideal for those seeking an authentic piece, capable of creating a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere in both classic and modern settings.
