This magnificent Moud runner originates from the renowned Persian region, famous for its centuries-old tradition in carpet weaving. It combines rich Persian culture with intricate design, making it a unique piece to enrich any environment.
The central field features an elegant panel design, each hosting a variety of traditional Persian motifs. One can admire delicate floral patterns, stylized palmettes, and the iconic Boteh (or paisley) motif, each presented in a vibrant color palette that includes reds, blues, greens, ochres, and beiges. The orderly arrangement of the panels creates a fascinating visual balance.
The main border, in an intense cardinal red, perfectly frames the central field and features stylized vegetal motifs that add depth. The secondary border, in cream or ivory, is decorated with subtle floral designs and stylized animals, creating a pleasant contrast and accentuating the artisanal mastery.
Made with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, this runner offers a soft and durable texture. Its high knot density (160,000-200,000 knots/sqm) ensures great durability and an extraordinary richness of detail, with a thickness of 1.4 cm. Natural color variations, known as abrash, attest to the authenticity and craftsmanship of the piece, adding character and uniqueness.
A Moud runner is not just a furnishing element but an investment in a piece of Persian history and culture, capable of transforming a hallway or entrance into a space of refined elegance.
