Immerse yourself in the refined beauty of this Persian Moud rug, an authentic hand-knotted masterpiece that embodies the rich artisanal tradition of Eastern Persia. Hailing from the historic Moud region, this rug is the result of meticulous craftsmanship.
The central motif is distinguished by an elegant panel design, where each square encloses a variety of symbols and creatures: stylized trees of life, birds, floral motifs, and the distinctive "boteh" patterns (more commonly known as paisley). The richly decorated border, also on an ivory background, features an alternating pattern of floral scrolls and stylized animal figures, such as gazelles or deer, running among the vines, lending a serene and naturalistic atmosphere.
Made with hand-carded wool for the pile and a sturdy cotton warp, this rug offers a robust texture and a pile thickness of approximately 1.4 cm. The knot density, ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter, testifies to the exceptional quality and durability of this textile artwork. Its primary hues, a warm ivory for the background and details in burgundy red, sky blue, soft green, and touches of brown, create a harmonious and captivating chromatic balance, capable of enhancing any room with a touch of Persian elegance.
