This exquisite Baluch runner embodies the authentic textile art of Persian nomads, a handcrafted masterpiece carrying centuries of history and tradition. Expertly hand-knotted, it features a distinctive design and a palette of deep colors that enhance its character.
The central field is dominated by an all-over design of repeated geometric motifs, predominantly in vibrant deep red and charcoal black. These designs are often interpreted as stylized natural elements or tribal symbols, imbuing the rug with an aura of mystery and authenticity. The interconnected medallions create a mesmerizing visual rhythm. The border, also densely decorated with complementary geometries, beautifully frames the heart of the runner, while the corners are adorned with stylized beige/cream motifs that add a touch of contrast and refinement.
Crafted from hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, its robustness and durability are guaranteed. Its knot density, estimated between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm, attests to the high quality of the workmanship and attention to detail. The thickness of 0.6 cm ensures comfortable walking without being overly bulky. Slight color variations, known as "abrash", are an intrinsic characteristic of tribal rugs, resulting from natural dyeing and adding depth and uniqueness to each piece.
Ideal for enhancing hallways, entryways, or narrow spaces, this Baluch runner is not just a furnishing element, but a piece of nomadic history, capable of infusing warmth and a timeless atmosphere into any setting.
