Discover the charm of an authentic Persian Baluch rug, a textile work of art stemming from the nomadic traditions of Persia. This splendid piece, crafted with skill and passion, reflects the cultural richness and artisanal ability of the Baluch tribes.
The rug features a central diamond-shaped medallion design, set against a deep dark blue field that creates a vivid contrast with the stylized geometric and floral motifs, mainly in vibrant red with touches of other colors. The medallion is adorned with a series of cross and star elements, typical of Baluch iconography. The corners of the inner field are filled with stylized motifs that recall tribal elements.
The main border, also in a rich red, is embellished with a continuous chain of geometric patterns, while the secondary bands in earthy tones, such as beige and brown, feature an interconnected cross design, elegantly framing the central body of the rug.
Made entirely from hand-carded wool, with a cotton warp, this Baluch rug offers a soft and durable surface. The knot density, ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter, attests to the high quality and longevity of the piece. Its thickness of approximately 0.6 cm makes it a solid yet elegant item. The natural colors, obtained from vegetable dyes, display slight chromatic variations, known as "abrash", which add depth and unique character to each piece.
Perfect for adding a touch of history and warmth to any setting, from classic to contemporary, this Baluch rug is more than just a furnishing element: it's a textile narrative of ancient traditions.
