This magnificent Baluch rug is an authentic expression of Persian textile art, renowned for its robustness and distinctive designs. Each piece is skillfully woven, reflecting centuries of tradition and the soul of Persia's nomadic tribes.
The rug features a main field dominated by rich dark red and burgundy tones, which impart depth and warmth. A bright, square cream-colored medallion stands out in the center, adorned with fascinating stylized bird figures, likely peacocks or roosters, symbols of fortune and prosperity. The medallion is framed by black and red borders with diamond and cross geometric motifs. The side borders and the rug's head are richly decorated with a succession of complex geometric patterns, including grid and ribbon designs, harmoniously framing the central field. The presence of abrash, slight variations in color due to different dye baths of the wool, adds a touch of authenticity and unique charm to this piece.
Produced in the ancient region of Persia, this Baluch rug is made from hand-carded wool, ensuring a rich texture and exceptional durability. The warp is sturdy cotton. Its knot density ranges between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter, a testament to the fineness and complexity of the weaving. With a thickness of approximately 0.6 cm, it offers a solid yet refined presence.
This rug is not just a decorative item, but a true piece of history and culture. Ideal for enriching spaces with a touch of exoticism and tradition, it perfectly suits living rooms, studies, or entrances, bringing with it the timeless elegance of Persian craftsmanship.
