Discover the authenticity and history of the Baluch rug, a textile artwork that encapsulates the ancient tradition of Persia. This splendid example is hand-knotted with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, ensuring a density of approximately 160,000-200,000 knots per sqm and a thickness of 0.6 cm.
The design stands out for an all-over pattern composed of a series of repeated octagonal geometric medallions, arranged on a deep navy blue background. Each medallion features a polychrome cruciform motif within, with accents of turquoise, ochre, and white that stand out beautifully. The border, in a rich rust red, is finely decorated with meander and stylized motifs, framing the central field and adding depth to the rug. Color variations, known as abrash, attest to the use of natural dyes and the artisanal process, giving a unique character to each piece.
This Baluch rug is perfect for those seeking a strong character element, capable of warming the atmosphere and adding an exotic touch to any room, from the living area to the office.
