This splendid Shiraz rug is a textile work of art that embodies the nomadic soul of Persia. Each individual knot, made from hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, tells a story of tradition and artisanal mastery. Its density, between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm, ensures exceptional robustness and durability, making it an investment for time.
The field is dominated by a vibrant terracotta red, enriched by a fascinating abrash effect that enhances its chromatic depth and authenticity. Three large, linked diamond medallions create a dynamic focal point, while the rest of the field is scattered with small geometric and stylized motifs, typical of the Persian tribal repertoire.
