This magnificent Persian Mehravan runner is a superb example of Persia's ancient knotting art. Crafted from hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it boasts a density of 250,000-300,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of approximately 1 cm, attesting to the excellent quality and robustness of the piece.
The central field features a vibrant all-over floral design on a terracotta red background, enriched by a distinctive central lozenge medallion in shades of cream and dark blue. The presence of subtle color variations, known as 'abrash', adds depth and character, highlighting the artisanal craftsmanship and the use of natural dyes. The border, in an elegant dark blue, is adorned with stylized floral motifs that perfectly frame the main design.
Ideal for enhancing hallways or entryways, this Mehravan runner is not merely a decorative item but a piece of history that carries the charm and tradition of ancient Persia, capable of creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in any setting.
