This splendid Kazak rug, originating from Afghanistan, is a magnificent example of traditional craftsmanship. Made with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it features a density of approximately 100,000-150,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of 1.1 cm, ensuring durability and a pleasant feel.
The rug stands out with its light grey central field, adorned with an octagonal medallion and stylized geometric and floral motifs, typical of the Kazak style. The border, in a warm shade of light terracotta, harmoniously frames the design, highlighting the accents of light blue, cream, and pastel pink present in the pattern. The natural color variation, known as "abrash," adds depth and character, attesting to its artisanal creation.
Ideal for adding a touch of authenticity and warmth to any room, this rectangular rug is an excellent choice for those seeking a unique piece with a story to tell.
