This splendid Kazak rug, originating from Afghanistan, is a textile work of art that embodies centuries of tradition and artisanal mastery. Crafted with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it features a density of 100,000-150,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.1 cm, ensuring robustness and durability.
The design is dominated by a geometric central medallion, which stands out strongly against the beige background with grayish undertones. The intense tones of dark blue, sky blue, and terracotta red combine with cream, creating a vibrant and harmonious contrast. Around the medallion, the field is enriched with stylized tribal motifs and floral rosettes that seem to dance on the surface.
The complex and structured outer border frames the rug with a series of decorative bands, each with its own repeated geometric pattern, echoing the dominant colors of the inner design. The slight color variations, known as abrash, are an intrinsic characteristic of natural dyeing and handcrafting, giving the rug an authentic and unique soul.
Perfect for spaces that desire a touch of exoticism and warmth, this Kazak rug is not just a piece of furniture, but a piece of nomadic history, capable of transforming any space into a welcoming environment rich in personality.
