This splendid Kazak rug, originating from Afghanistan, is an authentic expression of traditional knotting art. Crafted with hand-carded wool, it boasts remarkable sturdiness and a rich texture to the touch. Its chromatic composition, featuring prominent beige, sky blue, cream, and touches of brick red, imbues the environment with a welcoming and lived-in atmosphere.
The design is a classic example of the Kazak tradition, with a large, eye-catching geometric central medallion surrounded by stylized motifs and symmetrically arranged floral elements. The borders, also richly decorated with rosettes and geometric shapes, frame the main field, enhancing its complexity. Every detail tells stories and symbols passed down through generations, making this rug not just a furnishing object, but a piece of history.
With a density of 100,000-150,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.1 cm, this rug is extremely durable and suitable for high-traffic areas. The cotton warp ensures stability and longevity. The presence of slight color variations, known as "abrash", is a distinctive feature of handmade rugs and emphasizes their uniqueness. For maintenance, regular vacuuming is recommended, and periodically, professional cleaning to preserve its beauty.
Ideal for adding a touch of warmth and culture to any space, from the living room to the study, or as an elegant runner (passatoia) in hallways and entrances.
