This magnificent Ardakan rug, originating from the historic region of Persia, embodies the richness and tradition of Persian knotting art. The rug is characterized by a central field of a deep and vibrant red, beautifully decorated with an all-over design of curvilinear and stylized floral motifs. At its heart, a large, multi-layered medallion stands out, predominantly in shades of dark blue and indigo, enriched with cream and polychrome accents. This medallion is flanked by matching quarter-medallions in the corners of the field, creating a classic visual harmony.
