This splendid rug, originating from Sarough, Persia, is an authentic textile masterpiece that embodies the elegance and richness of Persian tradition. Crafted with artisanal skill, it boasts a solid structure and timeless beauty.
The central field is dominated by a deep midnight blue, serving as a backdrop for an intricate floral design. At its heart, a large star-shaped medallion stands out, rich in detail and polychromy, featuring shades of cream, light blue, red, and ivory, radiating outwards. This medallion is framed by four corner spandrels, echoing the same motifs and colors, creating perfect visual harmony.
The entire surface of the rug is adorned with a floral design of sinuous vines, stylized palmettes, rosettes, and small buds that fill every space with grace and vitality. The main border, a vibrant scarlet red, is also decorated with scroll motifs and flowers that alternate regularly, elegantly delimiting the central field.
