This authentic Vintage Mazandaran Kilim originates from ancient Persia, the cradle of timeless textile craftsmanship. Made with hand-carded wool and a cotton warp, this flat-woven rug captures the essence of tribal and nomadic style.
The Kilim is distinguished by its irregular horizontal stripe pattern, which unfolds in a fascinating harmony of natural colors. The dominant shades of ecru, brown, and beige, achieved with natural dyes or left in their original color, create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Subtle chromatic variations are noticeable, such as a discrete abrash that testifies to the artisanal work, and a single, thin yellow stripe that adds an unexpected touch of color to the design. Its construction is characterized by the union of three vertical panels, a traditional technique that gives the rug a unique character.
With an estimated density between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 0.3 cm, this Kilim is robust and durable, ideal for adding a touch of ethnic and minimalist elegance to any modern or classic setting. A piece of Persian history, ready to embellish your home.
