This splendid runner, originating from Pakistan and named Kazak Fine, is an example of masterful craftsmanship. Made with hand-carded wool and a cotton warp, it features a high density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm, ensuring remarkable resistance and durability. The pile has a thickness of 0.9 cm, which provides a pleasant softness to the touch.
The design is characterized by geometric medallions arranged in a cascading fashion along the central field, typical of the Kazak style, often enriched with stylized details and abstract motifs. The field is a light ivory color, creating a bright contrast with the dominant shades of brick red, sky blue, and navy blue, with accents of lavender and terracotta. The side borders feature repeated geometric patterns, elegantly framing the central design. The use of abrash, a natural variation in color tone, adds depth and authenticity, testifying to the artisanal workmanship and the use of natural dyes. The chromatic balance and precision of the knots make this runner a work of art that can enrich any environment, bringing a touch of tradition and warmth.
