An authentic Bidjar runner, originating from Persia, is a masterpiece of robustness and beauty. This rug represents the artisanal skill of Kurdish weavers, known for their knotting technique that gives Bidjars a legendary resistance, often referred to as "iron rugs". Its density and material quality make it a durable investment, capable of enhancing any environment with a touch of history and culture.
The design features an elegant succession of central medallions, richly adorned with stylized floral motifs, set on a densely decorated all-over field that evokes the richness of Persian nature. The combination of intense red, deep blue, and cream accents creates a fascinating visual contrast, enriched by natural color variations (abrash) that attest to the use of vegetable dyes and manual craftsmanship. A complex frame of multiple borders, also decorated with geometric and floral patterns, frames the central field, adding depth and definition to the rug.
Crafted from high-quality hand-carded wool, this Bidjar offers a dense, velvety pile to the touch, while maintaining extraordinary durability. The cotton warp ensures stability and longevity.
