A Persian Masterpiece: The Ilaam Tree of Life Rug
This magnificent Ilaam Persian rug embodies the richness and depth of Persia's ancient textile tradition. Crafted with a fine combination of wool and silk on a cotton warp, it boasts a high density of 500,000-600,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 0.8 cm, testament to excellent artisanal craftsmanship.
The heart of the design is a splendid Tree of Life, a universal symbol of connection between heaven and earth, blooming vibrantly on a central field of deep navy blue. The tree's intricate branches are adorned with a profusion of stylized flowers and lush leaves, creating an explosion of colors and minute details. Among the branches and at the base of the tree, numerous finely depicted birds can be seen, populating the scene and adding liveliness and narrative to the landscape.
