This magnificent Nain Kashmar rug, originating from Persia, is a sublime example of Eastern knotting art. Each knot tells a story of tradition and craftsmanship, making it a valuable addition to any setting.
Crafted with hand-carded wool and silk, on a cotton warp, it offers an unparalleled sense of luxury and softness. Its high knot density, ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm, testifies to its exceptional quality and meticulous artisanal work. With a thickness of approximately 1.3 cm, it is robust and comfortable underfoot.
The classic design is dominated by an elaborate central medallion, which gracefully extends across the main cream-white field. Intricate floral motifs, including delicate arabesques and stylized palmettes, fill every space, creating a harmonious and sophisticated effect. The rich border, composed of multiple bands, elegantly frames the main design, also featuring detailed floral ornamentation.
The color palette is refined and balanced: the bright cream-white of the field enhances the intense blue of the medallion and some floral details, while shades of beige and light brown add depth and warmth. Subtle touches of burgundy red further enrich the small central elements, bestowing an aura of nobility.
This Nain Kashmar is not merely a rug, but a piece of history and culture, capable of transforming the atmosphere of a room with its timeless beauty.
