This magnificent rug, a Nain 6La specimen, originates from the ancient and renowned tradition of Persia. It is a textile work of art that embodies Persian elegance and craftsmanship, famous worldwide for its quality and beauty.
The rug is made with a luxurious combination of hand-carded wool and silk, which gives the surface a distinctive sheen and exceptional softness. The warp, made of cotton, ensures stability and durability. With an extremely high knot density, between 800,000 and 900,000 knots/sqm, and a thickness of 0.8 cm, this rug is an example of exquisite workmanship.
The design features a light field, predominantly cream in color, enriched with shades of deep blue, light blue, beige, brown, and soft green. The pattern is a captivating panel design, creating a harmonious and balanced composition. Each panel encloses various floral motifs, including flower vases, delicate arabesques, boteh motifs, and sometimes small bird figures, arranged in a variety of configurations. At the center, an elaborate medallion stands out, surrounded by floral decorations that expand into the field. The border follows the classic Persian style with repeated cartouche and floral motifs.
Its classic Persian style makes it a versatile piece, capable of adding a touch of sophistication and luxury to any setting, from the most traditional to the most contemporary. A Nain 6La is not just a rug, but an investment in beauty and history.
