This magnificent Kilim originates from the traditional regions of Afghanistan, renowned for its excellent craftsmanship. Made with hand-carded wool, it features a flatweave construction that enhances the beauty and purity of natural fibers. The cotton warp, typical of these artifacts, ensures robustness and durability over time. Each Kilim is a unique piece, steeped in history and culture.
The rug showcases a design rich in geometric diamond motifs, which gracefully alternate on a predominantly terracotta background. The color palette is an explosion of warm and cool tones, with orange harmoniously blending with accents of blue, green, cream, and pastel pink. The abrash effect, typical of natural dyeing and hand-spun wool, adds depth and character to the rug, creating unique nuances that make each piece unrepeatable. The border features smaller geometric motifs, elegantly framing the central field.
With a density ranging from 160,000 to 200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of approximately 0.3 centimeters, this Kilim is not only aesthetically valuable but also extremely durable. Its flatweave nature makes it versatile and suitable for various environments, bringing a touch of authenticity and warmth. It is an ideal choice for those seeking a decorative element that tells a story and celebrates traditional craftsmanship.
