This magnificent Rubin rug, originating from the ancient textile traditions of Pakistan, is an authentic expression of nomadic craftsmanship. Hand-knotted with hand-carded wool on a sturdy cotton warp, it displays exceptional skill and inherent durability, characteristics of high-quality artifacts with a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 0.9 cm.
The central field is dominated by a deep petrol blue, enriched by a subtle abrash effect that gives depth and movement to the surface. The all-over design is a triumph of tribal motifs, with horizontal rows of stylized animal figures, such as birds, goats, and deer, interspersed with minimalist geometric and floral symbols. The rich border is a mosaic of polychrome patterns, where shades of terracotta, ochre, moss green, and ivory alternate in a harmonious sequence of friezes that echo the field figures and abstract motifs.
With its ethnic and tribal character, this rectangular rug is perfect for infusing warmth and a touch of exoticism into any setting, from the living room to the bedroom. Each knot tells a story, making it not just a furnishing accessory, but a true collector's item that enriches the atmosphere with its history and timeless appeal.
