This exquisite Kashan rug, originating from ancient Persia, is a textile masterpiece that enchants with its refinement and the harmony of its designs. Masterfully crafted, it features a classic central medallion pattern, richly adorned with an explosion of spiraling floral motifs, inspired by the Shah Abbas style.
The main field, in an elegant ivory color, is densely populated with delicate palmettes, sinuous leaves, and stylized flowers that intertwine in an all-over design around the heart of the rug. The border, in warm earthy and beige tones, echoes and enriches the motifs of the field, creating a magnificent contrast and a perfect frame for the entire composition. Accents of sky blue, antique gold, and Siena earth wisely distributed add depth and vibrancy without detracting from the overall elegance.
The rug is made of hand-carded wool, with a cotton warp, ensuring exceptional softness and longevity. The knot density, between 160,000 and 200,000 per square meter, attests to the high quality and attention to detail characteristic of true Kashan rugs. An ideal rug to bring an atmosphere of luxury and history to any setting.
