This magnificent Kashan Fine rug, originating from Persia, is a textile masterpiece embodying the rich tradition of Persian carpets. Crafted from hand-carded wool (cotton warp), it boasts a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm, ensuring exceptional durability and a soft texture.
The design is dominated by a large oval central medallion in cream, richly adorned with intricate floral motifs in shades of beige and light brown. Inside, a smaller navy blue medallion hosts a delicate floral bouquet, creating a visually striking focal point. The main field is a vibrant coral red, embellished with small stylized leaves and flowers in light blue, pale yellow, and pink, arranged in a scattered design that adds depth and movement. The corners of the red field are enhanced with stylized "boteh" (paisley) motifs.
The outer frame features a succession of decorated borders, including a main one with an elaborate stylized floral design and thinner guard borders with geometric patterns. The abrash (natural color variation in the red field) adds character and authenticity to this artifact, a testament to Persian craftsmanship.
With its thickness of 0.9 cm, this rug is not just a decorative item but a true investment in beauty and tradition, capable of enriching the atmosphere of any room.
