This splendid Ardakan rug, hailing from the renowned region of Persia, is a magnificent example of oriental textile art. Its intricate composition and vibrant colors make it a timeless furnishing element, capable of enriching any environment with a touch of luxury and history.
The design is characterized by a majestic, diamond-shaped central medallion, elaborately decorated with spiraling floral motifs and stylized leaves. This focal point is framed by a central field of vivid red, upon which an intricate all-over design of small flowers, leaves, and tendrils unfolds. The corners of the field echo the shape and decoration of the medallion, creating a harmonious visual balance.
The main border, in deep night blue, features a rich "palmette" and rosette motif, flanked by secondary guard borders that add further complexity and elegantly define the edges. The predominant colors, the intense red of the field and the dark blue of the border and medallion, are skillfully enriched by accents of ivory, light blue, gold, and green, which illuminate the floral details and lend depth to the entire composition.
Made with hand-carded wool for the pile and a cotton warp, this rug boasts a density of approximately 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1 cm, testifying to its excellent quality and artisanal mastery. Its robustness and soft touch guarantee durability and comfort. A work of art that celebrates the rich Persian tradition, ideal for those seeking a unique piece of great cultural value.
