This magnificent Kashan rug, originating from Persia, embodies the refined tradition of Oriental craftsmanship. Crafted from hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it features a high knot density of 160,000 to 200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.2 cm, ensuring both softness and durability.
The design is a classic example of the Kashan style, characterized by an elegant lozenge-shaped central medallion, surrounded by a rich all-over design of arabesques, stylized palmettes, and flowering branches that extend harmoniously across the entire field. The finely elaborated border echoes the field's motifs, framing them gracefully.
The color palette is dominated by the luminous ivory background, against which complex details in various shades of blue (from deep navy to soft sky blue) stand out, enriched by accents of burgundy and ochre. A textile work of art that adds a touch of luxury and history to any setting.
