This magnificent Persian Nain Kashmar rug is an example of great value, embodying the richness and elegance of Persian knotting art. Originating from Persia, it combines the renowned craftsmanship of Nain with the distinctive features of Kashmar. It is hand-knotted with a luxurious combination of hand-carded wool and silk, with a cotton warp, ensuring a dense weave and a soft, luminous surface.
The design features an elaborate central medallion, surrounded by a field rich in scrolling floral motifs, blossoming branches, and palmettes, gracefully extending across a predominant cream background. The color palette is delicate and harmonious, with prevailing cream/ivory tones, intense blue accents, and subtle touches of beige/light brown, creating a sophisticated contrast.
The rug has a finely decorated main border with repeated cartouche and floral patterns, flanked by guard borders with elegant geometric and floral decorations, which perfectly frame the central field. Every detail is precisely executed, reflecting the complexity and beauty of Persian craftsmanship. Its knot density, estimated between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm, and a thickness of approximately 1.3 cm, attest to its superior quality and durability. A valuable addition to any room, capable of imparting an atmosphere of luxury and tradition.
