This magnificent Shiraz rug, hailing from the ancient lands of Persia, is a vibrant expression of tribal knotting art. Each knot tells a story, woven with the mastery of the Farsi nomadic peoples. Crafted from hand-carded wool, with a cotton warp, it offers unmistakable robustness and softness.
The central field is dominated by three large, diamond-shaped medallions, with a strongly geometric design that captures attention and guides the eye. These medallions are imbued with shades of dark blue and lighter tones, creating a striking contrast with the deep, dark red of the background. Around the medallions, the field is scattered with small stylized motifs, symbols of daily life and the spirituality of nomadic culture. The borders feature an intricate zig-zag design with beige/cream and dark details.
The chromatic richness is enhanced by the abrash, the slight variations in hue that attest to the natural dyeing of the yarns and artisanal production, giving the rug an authentic and unique character. With a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of approximately 1 cm, this Shiraz is not just a furnishing accessory, but a work of art destined to embellish any setting with its warm oriental atmosphere.
